Everyone needs a little help with their health and wellness, including victims of domestic abuse. Victim advocates can give a little inspiration and energy when they provide a Health and Wellness Kit. Suggested items for these kits include:
- Dove Chocolates (chocolate plus the inspirational quote)
- Bottle of water to help with hydration
- Journal and at least 2 ink pens
- Color pencils
- Adult coloring book
- Scented candle (Calming scents include lavender, jasmine, vanilla, sea breeze, lemon…)
- Hand lotion
- Hot Chocolate or Tea (especially tea believed to have a calming effect)
- A pedometer to track exercise and goal achievements (there are very affordable pedometers available online)
- Blanket
- Stress Relief Ball
- Fidget Gizmo
- A copy of the poem Taking My Power Back by KH
- Ear buds for their cell phone for listening to music and to add more privacy during phone calls

- Comfy socks or slippers
- Small Card with all emergency numbers and great websites for help (including www.mscfv.org) – a small card is easier to hide.
- Bubble bath (calming scents)
